Shop Spotlight: Red-Roxy Quilt Co.

We're excited to share our year-long Q&A series featuring exemplary quilt and fabric shops all around the country that sell Shannon Fabrics products. To nominate a shop in your area, please let us know in the comment section below. #shoplocal

Nestled amongst the scenic bluffs of Northeast Iowa, Red-Roxy Quilt Co. is a mother/daughter-owned quilt shop that’s not just a staple for local residents, but a destination shop for quilters and sewists throughout the country! They have over 3,000 bolts of fabric in stock (including lots of Cuddle®), and are a full-service quilt shop that sells BERNINA sewing and embroidery machines.

This summer, our National Educator Teresa Coates (and Hawke, of course) will be stopping by on her Sew Together Tuesday tour to broadcast LIVE from the Red-Roxy Quilt Co. shop floor (she’ll be teaching a few workshops, too)! Click here for all the details.

To learn more about and see the latest from Red-Roxy Quilt Co., visit their website, stop by their shop at 415 W Water St, Decorah, IA 52101, give them a call at 563-382-4646 or email owners Roxanne Schnitzler and Jess Rediske at info@redroxyquiltco.com.

SF: What is your best-selling Shannon Fabrics product?

RRQC: Everything. It amazes me how our Cuddle® bolt area can be overstuffed and the next time you walk by, there's all kinds of room already. We sell Cuddle® and Cuddle® kits all year round.

SF: Do you sell online? If so, how long have you been selling online and what have you learned?

RRQC: We're in our first year or so of selling online. Everything needs to be online!

SF: What top projects are on the must-make list right now in your shop?

RRQC: Bags, and incorporating machine embroidery with quilting or Cuddle®.

SF: What do you love most about creating (or seeing customers create) DIY projects with the fabrics you sell?

RRQC: Their creativity and how different everyone's take is.

SF: Where do you get your inspiration?

RRQC: Inspiration is everywhere!
