Sew Together Tuesday: Silky Satin Pleated Binding

You’ve been asking about Silky Satin ruffles on our I Love Cuddle® Fabric Facebook group and we’re here to show you how! Our National Educator, Teresa Coates will be live on Sew Together Tuesday this week to share her tips on pleated ruffles using our often-missed Silky Satin fabric. Made with 100% polyester, Silky Satin has a beautiful sheen and combined with Cuddle® fabrics will add an extra touch of softness to your blanket.

Teresa will show you the best way to cut your fabric to avoid the fray (and doesn’t involve a rotary cutter!), a technique that will make it easy to get started. Plus you’ll learn how simple it is to use the Skeleton Key from Muppin.com to create perfect little boxed pleats and knife pleats.

1 yd. Silky Satin (Teresa uses Charcoal)
1 yd. Cuddle® Print (Teresa uses Hoffman Digital Cuddle® Bloomin Buds)
1 yd. Solid Cuddle® or Luxe Cuddle® (Teresa uses Embossed Cuddle® Arrows Navy)

70/10 Universal needle (SCHMETZ)
