You've probably heard of a mug rug, but what about a mug hug? We have a new sewing tutorial by Keri of Pink Lemonade for a cute mug hug made with Cuddle®.
The mug hug was created out of a very important need (wink). Keri’s daughter, Lily Kate, didn’t want to burn her little fingers when she held her mug and drank hot cocoa. So mom Keri created the mug hug.
This adorable DIY project is quick, easy, and fun to make. It is made with two- 10” squares from our colorful Cuddle Cakes precuts in Very Vibrant Solid. The Cuddle Cakes feature 20 pieces, two cuts of each fabric; all Cuddle 3® from our Kozy Cuddle collection. The applique heart on Lilly Kate’s mug is made using the Purple square and the yellow background is made using the Canary square. Keri used a die and die cutting machine to cut the heart. Cuddle precuts are great for die cutting machines!
The Cuddle Mug Hug was designed by Keri of Pink Lemonade blog. The project was originally created for the Great Cuddle Cake Challenge that we did with Fairfield. Ten designers were challenged to create a project combining our Very Vibrant Solid Cuddle Cakes with product from Fairfield.

Be sure to keep up with the rest of the tutorials from the Great Cuddle Cake Challenge. We’ll be sharing them here.
Hugs with Cuddle,
Ellen
