Learn how to do Cuddle™ applique in this Free video! Then incorporate the techniques and make this snuggly Cuddle Up lap quilt!
This quilt finishes 57" x 67" and is designed by Heidi Pridemore from The Whimsical Workshop and machine quilted by Doris Pridemore.
The quilt features Cuddle™ prints in Snow Day, a Shannon Studio Cuddle Collection™. For the center portion, the pattern calls for Cuddle 3 in White from the Kozy Cuddle Solids™ Collection. The print shown in the video and in this example features Snow Flake Red. The red print is appliqued onto the Cuddle 3 White solid.
The video teaches you to make a finished block, size 12" x 12". You'll use paper-backed fusible web for the circle applique. The video features Pellon EZ-Steam™ II. However, you can substitute fabric spray adhesive or a glue stick if desired. Dritz Spray Adhesive is used in the video. You can also use tear-away stabilizer and a parchment paper pressing sheet. You'll learn pressing techniques for Cuddle and how to machine applique with the blanket stitch on your home sewing machine.
