Written by Ellen Mickelson | Jun 22, 2016 4:00:36 PM

Don’t you just love wrapping those little ones up in a cozy hooded towel after a bath or at the beach or pool? Well, we’ve got a new free pattern for a minky fabric hooded towel so you can make one yourself! The towel is made with Cuddle® fabric and terry cloth so it’s so soft and absorbent. And, as an added bonus, the pattern includes a burp cloth – great for the littlest ones.

The Cuddle® Hooded Towel and the Little Cuddle® Burp Cloth pattern makes two complete hooded towels and four burp cloths! It was created and designed by Mary Gay Leahy, a Shannon Fabrics Sales rep with years of experience, so you know it’s well written.

Doesn't it look so comfy?

You just need 1 ½ yards each of Cuddle® and Terry Cloth, and 1/3 yard Cuddle® for binding. There is no waste!

Here is the burp cloth- it's contoured with a nice shape to fit around your neck:

This towel and burp cloth were made with Cuddle® in a cute fish print, with a coordinating solid white terry cloth. The print features fun-loving whales, friendly fish, sweet sharks, tiny turtles, and cute crabs swimming in the ocean. Unfortunately, this print has been discontinued, but it can easily be replaced by any color or print that fits the style you have in mind (Fintastic! Cuddle® Teal is a great alternative).

To make this towel, there are so many more Cuddle® prints you could choose from. Or you could use a solid, too. And, there are lots of color options for the terry. Click here to see more terry.
