Stiff Interfacing

  1. 2 – 8” x 13” Body of the bag
  2. 2 - 1” x 13” handles

Assembly Instructions

  1. Attach outside fabric to the 2 pieces of interfacing either by fusing or sewing around the
  2. Sew down both sides and across the bottom of the bag with ½” seam allowance.
  3. With the bag flat mark 1.5” square at the bottom of the bag. Cut the squares out.

  1. To make the box bottom of the bag, you will align the side seam and bottom seam, then sew with a ¼” seam allowance. The clips work great to hold in place. Turn the bag right sides out.

5. The handles are made but centering the interface piece to the outside fabric. Fold the outside fabric around and sew in place. With the inside fabric, iron the edges to the center and sewing it to the back side of the handles.

6. The next step is to make the inside of the bag. I ironed the top edge (8” side) down about ½”. Sew the side seams and bottom with 1/2” seam. Mark the 1.5” square like on the main bag and cut and sew. This will give you the boxed bottom for the inside also.

7. Place the inside of the bag into the main bag and line up seams on the sides and alone the top. Pin or clip to hold in place. (You might want to press the side so that it looks more like a box.

8. Take the handles and place to line up with the outside of the front and back of the bag. Make sure the outside fabric is facing front. Clip or Pin in place.

9. Sew around the top of the bag.

10. To add the Luxe cuff, I sewed the ends together to make a circle. Line up the edge of the cuff fabric to the top of the bag. Clip or pin in place and sew around the edge. You might want to use a zigzag stitch.

11. Fluff the luxe cuddle fabric. TA DA! you are finished.
