You will need:
Lay out your 2 - 45 x 60 cuts of hide on top of each other, wrong sides together, making sure the nap is running the same direction on both pieces . Carefully fold or roll the top fabric and use 505 spray to stick the 2 fabrics together. This step is important, as it keeps the back from slipping and bunching up when you are appliquéing the front. Square up your edges.
Next, mark the center of both 45”edges with pins. I borrowed a long carpenter level from the DH and laid one edge on the top and bottom pins. I then laid a 2.5” ruler along that edge and used masking tape to mark that edge. Then I put the opposite edge of the level on the center pins, laid the 2.5” ruler along that edge and mark the entire length with masking tape. This marks the placement for the 60” piece of white dreamy. You really only need 1 line 2.5” from the center, but since I was winging this without a pattern, I needed the visual.
Then place pin 33” down along each 60” edge. Connect the pins with a straight edge and use masking tape to mark that line, skipping over the lines for the white dreamy . This makes the placement line for the black C3 belt. Pin on top of the tape about every 4” for a little extra security.

Using a Sharpie, mark 5” x 60” on the back side of Dreamy white along the selvedge. Cut from the back with an Olfa SAC-1 craft knife. If you need to piece the Dreamy to make 60”, no worries, just make sure all the nap is going the same direction. The long pile will hide the seam when you fluff it with your By Annie stiletto.

The top of the blanket is the 33” above the belt line. Pin the 5 x 60 piece of white Dreamy inside the the tape lines, with the nap petting down. I did not stabilize this piece, as the backing on Dreamy is stiffer than other Cuddle fabrics and did not require it. DO NOT try to use the perpendicular pinning method on this piece. I tried, and the pins get lost in the nap. Save yourself the headache and place your pins horizontally.
Push the nap to one side, away from the raw edge, place a piece of parchment paper between your presser foot and the Dreamy and straight-stitch about 1/4” from the edge of the Dreamy. The parchment keeps the long pile of the Dreamy from getting tangled in your presser foot , and tears away easily when you are done. ( I used masking tape, but figured out that parchment paper works better) Repeat the process on the other side of the Dreamy.
Next add stabilizer to the back of your C3 black and cut a 4” x 45” strip. I use wash away stabilizer and adhere it to the back of the C3 with 505 spray. I find it faster and just as effective as iron on.

Place the black belt along the bottom edge of the belt tape line, making sure the done nap pets down. I use a Little spritz of 505 on the back of the belt to help keep it in place without having to use a lot of pins. I used a straight stitch , staying very close to the edge across the top and bottom of the belt. You can also use a blanket stitch or zig zag stitch. Remove all the tape.

Using a piece of parchment paper and ruler draw a rectangle 5” long by 3 1/2” tall. Add 1 1/2” to the top and bottom and 1 1/4” to the sides. You now have a rectangle inside of a rectangle. This is the pattern for your belt buckle. Lay a piece of wash away stabilizer on top of the pattern and trace with a Sharpie. Use 505 spray to stick the stabilizer to the back side of your piece of C3 camel, and cut out your buckle.

Lightly spritz the back of the buckle with 505 spray and center over the belt and fur trim. Add a few pins for extra security and stitch inside and outside edges using whatever stitch you like. I used a straight stitch close to the edge.

Sew your 3 - 2” binding strips together. Sew the strip on the back of the blanket, right sides together, Starting on the bottom side, across the top and down the other side, leaving the bottom of the blanket unbound. Turn the binding to the front, mitering the corners and topstitch with a serpentine or zig zag stitch. Trim the binding so it is even with the bottom of the blanket.
Mark the back of your Dreamy 2 - 6 1/2” x 48” strips across the width of fabric. Cut along the lines with the Olfa SAC-1 craft knife. It is important to NOT cut the pile on the front, or instead of a nice natural fringe of fur on the bottom of the blanket, it will look like your bangs did on picture day after your Mom cut them the night before. That is something no one wants reminded of!
Pin one strip, right sides together to the bottom front of the blanket, leaving about 1 1/2” on either side of your binding, making sure that after the strip is sewn on and flipped down, that the nap of the fur pets down. Repeat for the bottom back, matching the sides of the Dreamy and pinning them as well. Using a Sharpie, draw a stitch line just outside of the binding, on the short edges of the Dreamy. Sew down the stitch line, across the bottom and down the other stitch line, being careful not to catch the binding in the side seams. Turn the fur cuff right sides out, matching the bottom edges of the Dreamy backing. Top stitch about an inch from the bottom edge of the backing, using a piece of parchment paper between your presser foot and the Dreamy. Tear off the parchment paper and fluff the stitch line with your stiletto. Toss the whole thing in the dryer on air fluff with a damp cloth for about 5 min, then remove and drape artfully over the back of your favorite chair!
