"I made this king sized quilt for myself with my favorite colors and my favorite cuddle print. I used 4 jelly rolls, 2 Venetian by Robert Kaufman and 2 Wild Garden also Robert Kaufman. Batik Drangonfly print cuddle and Mallard luxe hide for the binding. I used Dream request Poly batting. The pattern is Tea Time by Joann Jorden. Quilted with a dragonfly motif by Amelia of Fabrics by the Creek in Lake Jackson Texas. I live in Conroe Tx. I made this at the end of 2023. My first cotton quilt with cuddle backing."

Lorie Davis: Winner of the "All Over Design" Category

"I pieced this lap quilt on my Bernina L890 Overlocker using a Log Cabin pattern in the Eleanore Burns book a Quilt in a Day. The fabrics used in this quilt top are a by Kaffe Fasset. The quilt is backed in Cuddle. I love how Cuddle fabric creates a beautiful canvas for the quilting design, Ba Fa Boom by Urban Elementz."

Billie Veerkamp: Winner of "Everything Cuddle®" 

"I designed this quilt on graph paper. I wanted to create a star with only the 4 colors of the sacred medicine wheel for a very special wise elder.  I also wanted to incorporate circles with the same colors as a better representation of the medicine wheel.  I chose the batik alloy background because it represented smoke swirling. I used Cardinal batik, canary cuddle3, snow cuddle3; black cuddle 3; white star embossed cuddle, alloy dc batik, natural dc batik for backing, quilters dream batting."

Terrie Fitterer: Honorable Mention

"This basic 6 in.² quilt has been created with upcycling blue jeans. No pattern was used at the time. The worn out blue jeans inspired me to create the quilt, because of the life still left in some of the material. Another inspiration was to use a new material to me, cuddle. I am so happy I did! What a warm, cuddly feeling. With the jean patches, being heavy already, batting was not used. This quilt was made with the flip and stitch method."

To celebrate the beloved craft of quilting, we are holding our very first Cuddle® Quilt Challenge, a quilting contest with 3 categories. Submit a photo of your work for a chance to win one of three quilting prize packages featuring quilting tools and fabric, provided by Shannon Fabrics and our partners! We'll also feature your quilt on a blog article, crediting you and featuring a little bit about your work. 

Enter the Cuddle® Quilt Challenge 2024

We're giving away $2K in prizes and you could win one of 3 prize packages! ENTER your finished quilt into one of the following three categories:

QUILT CATEGORY 1: COTTON FRONT/CUDDLE® BACKING

Category criteria and requirements: You can submit any quilt design that features cotton on the front and Cuddle® backing. 

QUILT CATEGORY 2: ALL OVER DESIGN

Category criteria and requirements: You can submit any quilt design, Cuddle® inclusion must be at least C3 or Luxe Cuddle as the backing. 

QUILT CATEGORY 3: EVERYTHING CUDDLE® 

Category criteria and requirements:  You can submit any quilt design made with all Cuddle®. All aspects must be made with Cuddle®. The only exception are machine embroidery/appliqués, acceptable as the only other non-Cuddle® material permitted for this category.
